I recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for weekend sessions. Fall and spring dates fill up quickly — sometimes months ahead. If you have a specific date in mind (a due date, an anniversary, a child's first birthday), reach out as early as possible so we can hold it.
-
I always send a detailed styling guide after you book, but the short version: stick to soft, neutral tones — creams, taupes, sage greens, dusty blues. Avoid busy patterns or logos. Coordinate without being too matchy-matchy — think of it as a palette, not a uniform.
For families and couples, layers and texture photograph beautifully. Comfort matters too — if you feel good, it shows.

Most sessions run 60–90 minutes. Newborn sessions are the exception — those take 2–3 hours since we work around baby's schedule (feeding, soothing, posing). I never rush — we take the time we need to get things right.
-
You'll receive a fully edited gallery of 40–80 images depending on the session type. I focus on quality over quantity — every image I deliver is one I'm proud of. Newborn sessions typically include more images to capture all the tiny details.
-
Your gallery will be delivered via a private online gallery within 2–3 weeks of your session. From there you can download full-resolution images, share with family, and order prints directly. Galleries are available for 90 days — I recommend downloading everything promptly.

Light rain or overcast skies can actually produce beautiful, soft light — some of my favourite sessions have been on cloudy days. For heavy rain, thunder, or extreme weather, we'll reschedule at no charge. I'll always check the forecast a few days out and be in touch with a plan.

Yes! I'm based in Northern Michigan and shoot locally at no extra charge. For sessions outside of the area, a travel fee applies — I'm happy to provide a quote. I also take a limited number of destination sessions each year for couples and families who want something truly special.

A retainer is due at booking to hold your date. The remaining balance is due one week before your session. I want this to feel easy — if you'd like to split the balance into smaller payments leading up to your session, just let me know and we can work something out.
